So this guy says he wants to sell his dry cleaners in the fall. Tells our intermediary this and our guy provides him with a checklist of information needed to prepare the business for presentation to buyers. Our guy goes by to see if the BO (business Owner) has any questions about the checklist items. 

BO tells our guy he's chosen someone else to sell his business. 

Mind you our guy hasn't been given the opportunity to present our value proposition to the BO. 

What happened? 

We don't know but hope to find out by asking a few questions. 

Such as: 
  1.  Does the person/firm you selected to sell the business do full time business sales?
  2. How many dry cleaners have they sold?
  3. Did they ask for the financial information we did?
  4. Have you provided that information to them?
  5. How did they determine the purchase price?
  6. How do they intend to confidentially market your business? 
  7. How many buyers do they have in their database who have expressed interest in buying dry cleaners?
There are many other questions to be asked. 

Lesson: we here at CBI don't mind competing for your business but we'd at least like the chance to get in the ring before we're knocked out. Check around and compare before making a decision. 

Otherwise you could be making a big mistake with your biggest asset, your business.

Swilling Family Dental SOLD

The CBI+Team of Northwest Arkansas is proud to announce the sale of Swilling Family Dental  to Chad Matone of The Dental Clinic At Sheridan. 

Swilling Family Dental has been in operation since 2001 and will continue to provide dental services to patients in  the Sheridan area under the ownership of Dr. Matone and his team of dentists. 

Senior Intermediary Casey Grimes listed Dr. Swilling's practice for sale in January, and after looking through CBI+Team's comprehensive buyer database was able to identify  Dr. Matone as the perfect buyer for the practice. A six month turn around time is exceptional for the sale of any business and was only possible thanks to the CBI+Team buyer network. 

Dr. Swilling's practice is the third Dental Clinic in the town of Sheridan that Casey Grimes and the CBI+Team have helped to sell. SOLD- Sentencing Option Specialists

After being one of the most highly inquired upon businesses that Mark Kincannon Owner/Managing Partner of the Fort Smith/River Valley office has ever listed, Sentencing option Specialists was sold to Mike Brooks. 

Johnny and Gloria Wagner engaged Mark Kincannon to sell their business because they were ready to retire. A customized confidential marketing program was developed and executed. Through this process Mike Brooks was introduced to the business and an agreement was made. 

Mike was introduced to the Business Owners Retirement Savings Account (BORSA)
 program by Mark. Mike decided to use BORSA to pay for the purchase of the business. 

The Wagner's were thrilled with the service they received from the CBI

I recently had lunch with a banker here in Little Rock. This gentleman had heard of the CBI+Team before. He had read on social media that our CBI Central Arkansas Team had sold Altitude Trampoline recently and asked if we could get together for lunch. I'll take a free lunch from a banker any day. It was over lunch that he made a statement that stuck with me. He said, "Connor, your company has a reputation for bringing good deals".

That is quite a compliment coming from a banker and it gives us a reason to brag.

Then it did something else, it made me think. It made me think why?
 
The explanation was easy. We have a system and a process at CBI.

That goal is to sell your company for maximum value in the shortest amount of time possible while working hand-in-hand with your accountant to help reduce your tax consequences as much as possible. 

We will always sell businesses that don't fit our ideal. Altitude Trampoline never even hit the market. It was under contract in a matter of hours after two conversations with the seller who was ready to sell. But if you'll work with us two years or even longer, before putting the business on the market, we can help maximize our value to you as our client. When we do enough deals like that, banks say nice things about our company. They get good deals to make loans on, our sellers get more cash upfront for their businesses, and everyone is happy

In addition to the websites, CBI prepares and implements a customized marketing plan for each business ​we list for sale.
